Mommy 38 Weeks/ Emily 33 months (almost 3)

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow, I am very excited its coming to an end...11 days until the C-section. I am feeling very tired and I am very uncomfortable but it will be worth it in the end! :) Last week, my friend Stacy threw a Dessert Bar Baby Shower, it was wonderful to get together with girlfriends and play some fun games. Also last month my work gave me a "sprinkle" I am very thankful for such great friends!
Emily is getting closer to turning 3 but wow, terrible 2's seemed like nothing compared to the way she is acting now. She really knows what she wants and will express how she feels. She talks in full sentences and NEVER stops, and you can really have a conversation with her. She will just talk and talk and talk. She enjoys singing and dancing, and likes when Kevin and I dance with her. Emily is going to daycare at Helens and loves it, on Thursday she goes will her girlfriends Sienna, Carly and Kristen, she is having a lot of fun there. She Loves playing with her baby dolls, feeding them, burping and putting them to bed. She is getting ready for her little sister to arrive, she is going to be a wonderful helper.

Emily loves riding her bike, and can do it perfectly now!

36 Weeks

Tomorrow I will be 36 weeks pregnant. It has gone by really fast yet these last few weeks seem to be taking a really long time. I am very uncomfortable and cant wait to meet our new little girl. Here are some pictures of Emily while we wait for her arrival.

Emily is going to be 3 in a little over 3 months, where has the time gone. She is talking in sentences and really doesn't stop talking. She knows her full name and she learned mine and Kevins first name too. She is a little over 36 inches and is weighing about 33 lbs. She is one of the tallest out of all of her friends. She has been enjoying the summer going swimming, to the spray parks, Fairytale Town, The Zoo and learning to ride her bike. We also took her to her first River cats Baseball Game, which she has a blast at ( so we went two more times, once with Grandpa Mike)! She loves playing with her babies and is ready for her sister to arrive, she is going to be such a great helper!

35 weeks!

Its been a long time

Its been a very long time since I have posted anything so here it goes....

Emily is now 28 months (almost 2.5yrs) and we are pregnant again with number 2!! I am 16.5 weeks pregnant, we find out on Friday if its a boy or a girl. Cant wait! Emily is also very excited to be a big sister, she likes to touch my belly and say hi to the baby.

Emily is such a big girl, I can hardly believe some of the things she does. She loves to sing and dance and of course get into trouble :) She is really into her baby dolls right now, she takes them everywhere and is a very good mommy.

Emily's new phrase is "whats that," ( and uses it all the time) she says sentences well and is very good at telling us what she wants. She is starting to understand feelings such as scared, happy and sad. She is great at identifying her colors and shapes and is good at counting and identifying most letters.

Sometimes she gets confused like yesterday Kevin's mom asked Emily "Where are your socks" well Emily pointed to outside of her room, Pat was confused and asked again...Emily took Pat outside the room to the cat, Sox! hahah

I hope to post pictures this week, especially after my Dr appointment on Friday. We are very excited for the 2nd baby and still having a lot of fun with Emily.

Emily at 26 Months

It has been a few months since I have posted anything and Emily seems to have grown a lot in such a short time. So lets see, what has Emily not been doing...

She has been saying 3-4 word sentences, she copies anything we say "Emily do you want to go outside" and she says "Emmy go outside", anything we say she can say. She has completely mastered her colors, she is now working on her counting, she can count to 3, she is also working on her shapes she can recognize and say "circle, square, oval, rectangle, heart, she can say octagon and pentagon. She has a Dora book that has opposites that she can read to me, "open, close, stop, go, short, long."

She still loves for us to read to her and she is starting to enjoy reading to herself too. She likes to do everything herself, "Emmy do it" are her favorite words right now.

Emily is sleeping great in her toddler bed and stays in it all night. She eats well but has definitely been much more picky then she ever was. Her favorite food is fruit and cheese. We got season passes at the Sacramento Zoo and have already gone 2 times this year. Emily is a lot of fun to take to new places, this will be a fun year! She is really growing up, she is not a baby anymore!
