Elizabeth Rae 1 Month

Elizabeth Rae is now one month, time has really flown by. She is doing great, at 2 weeks she was weighing in at 8.4lbs and we found out she was measured wrong in the hospital (a common mistake) she is 20 3/4 inchs. At 3 weeks she weighed 9.5 lbs, she is definitely eating very well! She is very strong and holds her head up very well. She is sleeping good at night, waking once during the night after 5-7hrs and once early in the morning, I hope it continues. She likes to be in the swing, my moby wrap and LOVES to bounce, bouncing make her not cry. Her fussy time is from 7pm-9pm, but if it helps her sleep its ok. Emily loves being a big sister and likes to give Elizabeth toys and will say "its ok" or "dont cry" if Lizzy is crying. It is very sweet to see the two of them together. At two weeks we took the girls to get there pictures done together, Im sure first of many.

Welcome Elizabeth Rae

On September 14, 2011 I had a C-Section scheduled for 730am. Kevin and I arrived at 530am, they had to check my vitals, ask me a million questions and get my IV. Grandma & Grandpa Grutman met us at the hospital becuase Grandma Barabara was going to be in the delivery room with Daddy. I was then taken into the OR room, where I got a spinal (wasn't too bad) and prepared to meet our baby.

7lbs 10oz

19inches

Everything went well, the Dr said that the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and leg, so it was a good thing I had a C-Section, but she was very healthy. Grandma & Grandpa Spink took Emily to daycare then arrived at the hospital right when I got into the recovery room and that is where everyone met her. Later that day Emily came to visit me and Elizabeth, she loves her little sister.

Emily is still adjusting to the new baby but she loves to hold and talk to her little sister. Its going to be a lot of fun with both of the girls but challenging.

Mommy 38 Weeks/ Emily 33 months (almost 3)

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow, I am very excited its coming to an end...11 days until the C-section. I am feeling very tired and I am very uncomfortable but it will be worth it in the end! :) Last week, my friend Stacy threw a Dessert Bar Baby Shower, it was wonderful to get together with girlfriends and play some fun games. Also last month my work gave me a "sprinkle" I am very thankful for such great friends!
Emily is getting closer to turning 3 but wow, terrible 2's seemed like nothing compared to the way she is acting now. She really knows what she wants and will express how she feels. She talks in full sentences and NEVER stops, and you can really have a conversation with her. She will just talk and talk and talk. She enjoys singing and dancing, and likes when Kevin and I dance with her. Emily is going to daycare at Helens and loves it, on Thursday she goes will her girlfriends Sienna, Carly and Kristen, she is having a lot of fun there. She Loves playing with her baby dolls, feeding them, burping and putting them to bed. She is getting ready for her little sister to arrive, she is going to be a wonderful helper.

Emily loves riding her bike, and can do it perfectly now!

36 Weeks

Tomorrow I will be 36 weeks pregnant. It has gone by really fast yet these last few weeks seem to be taking a really long time. I am very uncomfortable and cant wait to meet our new little girl. Here are some pictures of Emily while we wait for her arrival.

Emily is going to be 3 in a little over 3 months, where has the time gone. She is talking in sentences and really doesn't stop talking. She knows her full name and she learned mine and Kevins first name too. She is a little over 36 inches and is weighing about 33 lbs. She is one of the tallest out of all of her friends. She has been enjoying the summer going swimming, to the spray parks, Fairytale Town, The Zoo and learning to ride her bike. We also took her to her first River cats Baseball Game, which she has a blast at ( so we went two more times, once with Grandpa Mike)! She loves playing with her babies and is ready for her sister to arrive, she is going to be such a great helper!

35 weeks!
